When you ship, your goods are weighed in kilograms to obtain their real weight, known as the actual weight. Volumetric weight applies to goods that are large but light, which are charged based on their volume. So how is volumetric weight calculated? What is the difference between actual weight and volumetric weight?
Actual weight is the real weight shown when goods are placed on a scale. Volumetric weight applies to goods that are light but take up a lot of space, so their volume is calculated instead. Examples of goods charged by volume include sofas, spring beds, wardrobes and the like.
